Experior: Explained

  • Experior is an FDA-approved feed additive designed to reduce ammonia emissions in cattle, intended for finished cattle, for the last 14 to 91 days on feed. While it’s gaining traction in the industry, it is not approved for use in NHTC or SVN programs—something to keep in mind when making decisions for your herd.
  • Expeior can be used on cattle enrolled in Source, Age, Angus Plus, Wagyu Verified, and EVP Saudi!
  • We recommend checking with your buyer to confirm their acceptance of Experior fed cattle prior to use.

Programs in a Hot Market

  • Cattle prices are strong, but did you know program cattle are still bringing premiums? If you’re not enrolled in NHTC or SVN programs, you might be leaving money on the table. More bids mean better prices, and program enrollment ensures more buyers are interested in your calves. Some things to remember:

    • Make sure you let us know when you're marketing your cattle! We will send out an email to enrolled feedyards and interested buyers.

Who was your second-place bidder?

  • If you're selling at auction, don't forget that every new bidder- even if they get outbid- can push you to a premium market.
  • Staying in value-added programs is the best way to build relationships with interested buyers, especially during short cattle supply.
